Learn Spanish at Bolboreta Spanish School
ABOUT ME

More than a language, a passion: My history with Spanish

A turning point in my history

I have always been fascinated by the world, cultures and communication. But there was a key moment that changed the way I looked at languages: when I arrived in Switzerland and realized that without German, my opportunities were limited.

I was frustrated that I couldn’t communicate with confidence, depended on other people for basic situations and felt I couldn’t fully integrate. But I also discovered how amazing it is when a new language opens doors.

That is how my passion for teaching Spanish was born.

Who am I?

Hello! I am Ana Neira

Spanish teacher and founder of Bolboreta Spanish School

I was born in Pontevedra, a small and beautiful city in the north of Spain. However, my curiosity and desire to learn led me to live in different cities in Spain and several countries. That’s why I know how exciting, but also how difficult it can be to step out of your comfort zone and learn a new language.

I studied Tourism and Hotel Management, which allowed me to work in the tourism sector in such fascinating places as the Swiss Alps.

But something inside me told me I wanted to do something else.

While learning German, I became fascinated by how languages can change lives. I trained at centers such as Instituto Cervantes and International House and began my journey as a Spanish teacher to help others experience the same transformation I did.

Maybe you've seen me around...

Bolboreta Spanish School's mission

Spanish opens doors, especially in the world of tourism.

If you are a professional in the tourism sector, speaking Spanish fluently will allow you to improve your communication with clients in Spain and Latin America, access new opportunities and stand out in your work.

If you are a traveler, mastering Spanish will give you independence and confidence to move around Spain or Latin America without barriers.

My mission is to help travelers and tourism professionals improve their Spanish so they can discover and take advantage of new opportunities.

Why "Bolboreta"?

“Bolboreta” is my favorite word in Galician, my second mother tongue. It means “butterfly”.

Because learning a language is a metamorphosis

You go from not understanding anything to communicating fluently. It is a process that requires time, patience and perseverance, just like the journey of a monarch butterfly.

Because butterflies are a symbol of freedom

Butterflies are free, they go where they want. That’s how I want you to feel after improving your Spanish with me.

Because I want you to feel butterflies in your stomach...

When you think of all that you are going to achieve with Spanish.

Jump the language barrier and feel the freedom to speak Spanish with confidence.
