Historical tour of Pontevedra
Pontevedra is the capital of the Portuguese Way of St. James and has the most important historical center in Galicia after Santiago de Compostela.
In this guided tourwe will walk through the streets of the city of Pontevedra for approximately two hours discovering the secrets of this city, where its cozy squares and corners stand out.
We can also see the ruins of the church of Santo Domingo, destroyed by English troops in the eighteenth century, and what remains of the medieval wall.
We will visit the exterior of Santa María la Mayor, one of the most emblematic churches of Pontevedra.
We will contemplate its facade, full of mysteries. We will continue to the bank of the Lérez River to admire the bridge that gives its name to the city, the Burgo Bridge. Did you know that the name “Pontevedra” means “old bridge”?
We will walk through the streets that inspired Valle Inclán, passing by the Plaza do Teucro and the Plaza de la Herrería, where two of the most iconic monuments of the city are located: the convent of San Francisco and the well-known chapel of the Pilgrim Virgin, whose base is shaped like a scallop shell.

Combarro is one of the most beautiful villages in Pontevedra.
In this guided tour we will explore its charming streets and admire its emblematic hórreos, located at the edge of the estuary.
We will learn about these traditional constructions of Galicia and the lifestyle of the inhabitants of this charming place.
We will tour the historic center of Combarro, full of charm and cobblestone streets, observing the details of its traditional houses built in the characteristic Galician style.
We will also stop in front of several cruceiros to discover the origin and meaning of these distinctive stone crucifixes.
Guided visit to Tambo Island
Tambo Island is located in the center of the Pontevedra estuary.
With an area of 28 hectares and a maximum height of 81 meters, located on Mount San Fagundo, it has an oval and pyramidal shape, completely covered by a mantle of trees, especially eucalyptus.
On the island there is a lighthouse, several beaches and remains of ancient constructions.
Tambo is home to a valuable historical heritage that it is a privilege to enjoy in the present and a responsibility to preserve for the future.
We will depart by catamaran from the marina of Combarro to the island of Tambo, where we will disembark for a guided tour.
During the tour, you will learn about every aspect of the natural environment, heritage and curiosities of this island, which until a few years ago could not be visited. The experience will last about three hours.
